Jack Black evidently looks upon Chris Hemsworth as the shining Adonis he portrays in the movies.
Wanting to perhaps emulate a little bit of that henchness Thor has come to rock on the reg, the comedic actor and sometimes Youtube challenger took to his local gym with a set of dumbbells and a fighting spirit.
It’s clear Chris’s Instagram videos have inspired the Jumanji star to shred for festival season, and in a composite clip shared to his own channel, Jack really worked the floor routine.
With two weights that, sorry to say, looked incredibly light compared to the boulders Chris was throwing about, the 49-year-old worked up a sweat on Tuesday.
‘Mixing it up. Get creative. Keep moving. Variety is key! 💪💪 Who did it better?’ he asked his followers.
The video caught the attention of Chris himself, with the wellness warrior (who launched his own fitness app Centr last month) commenting: ‘Haha you legend.’
Chris added as he reposted the vid to his own Instagram: ‘The student has become the master.’
Jackass star Johnny Knoxville clearly felt something beautiful stirring inside him as he replied with an encouraging: ‘Wow @jackblack you’re a beast!!! You make @chrishemsworth look like he’s picking daisies!💪’
Seemingly turned on by Jack’s moves in the gym, Paloma Faith replied: ‘You HUNK.’
While he’s used to showing off a pair of stupidly-bulging biceps in the Avengers epics as Norse god Thor, he’s going to be adding a oiling-up routine to his to-do list after it was announced Chris was taking on the role of WWE legend Hulk Hogan.
Directed by The Hangover and Old School’s Todd Phillips, the film will look at the rise of Hulkmania, which saw Hulk Hogan go from failed bass player to international celebrity in the late 1970s and 80s.
Meanwhile Jack is forging a name for himself on YouTube after creating a gaming channel to take on the likes of Ninja and PewDiePie.
Meshing the two worlds he now finds himself in, the actor shared another clip of him working out as he issued a warning to his fresh contemporaries.
Mentioning his training regime for the next Jumanji, Jack explained: ‘I’m not Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson or anything, but I still gotta get up to fightin’ speed and fightin’ weight because I’mma be doing a lot of intense action sequences.’
‘Just know, I’mma be putting myself in harm’s way for the good of the film,’ he joked.
‘Also, I need to workout to get ready to face Ninja face to face.
‘That’s a challenge, Ninja! I’m ready for you…almost.’
