Chris Hemsworth is set to dust off his Starfleet uniform and make a surprise return to the Star Trek universe in the next instalment of the big screen sci-fi adventure.
The 32-year-old Aussie hunk appeared in the 2009 Trek reboot as James T Kirk’s father, George.
But his character was killed off after heroically sacrificing himself by flying the USS Kelvin into a giant Romulan war ship, creating a distraction so his family and the rest of the crew could escape in shuttles.
